FoundersBrain – Terms & Conditions

1. Welcome and Acceptance

Welcome to FoundersBrain — an AI-powered platform that helps founders and teams save, organize, and rediscover valuable insights from across social media and the web.

By accessing or using FoundersBrain (the “Service”), including our website, mobile app, or any related software, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, we’ll notify you by email or through the app. Your continued use of FoundersBrain after such notice means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Who We Are

“FoundersBrain,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to the FoundersBrain team (operating under the placeholder name FoundersBrain until incorporation).

3. Eligibility

To use FoundersBrain, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old, and

  • Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you’re using FoundersBrain on behalf of a company or team, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Description of Service

FoundersBrain allows users to:

  • Save content from social media and the web

  • Automatically organize it through AI tagging and summarization

  • View curated or AI-recommended content within the “Discover” tab

  • Manage personal or team spaces with AI-driven insights

The Service is currently free during the early-access phase. We may introduce paid plans later, which will be clearly communicated in advance.

5. Account and Security

  1. You must create an account using a valid email address or third-party login (e.g., Google or Apple).

  2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

  3. FoundersBrain uses Firebase Authentication and secure EU-based infrastructure to store and protect your account data.

  4. Accounts created by automated methods (“bots”) are prohibited.

  5. You may delete your account at any time by contacting team@foundersbrain.app.

6. User Content and Ownership

6.1 You Own What You Save

You retain full ownership of all content, notes, and data that you upload, import, or create within FoundersBrain (“User Content”).

6.2 Our Limited License

By using the Service, you grant FoundersBrain a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Store, process, and display your User Content as needed to provide the Service; and

  • Use metadata and AI-generated summaries internally to improve recommendations and features.

We do not claim ownership of your original materials or personal notes, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

7. Imported Third-Party Content

  1. You may only import or share content that is publicly available or for which you have the necessary rights or permission.

  2. Imported content may appear (in anonymized or aggregated form) within the Discover tab, where other users can explore startup-relevant insights.

  3. If you are the owner of content that appears in FoundersBrain and would like it removed, please contact team@foundersbrain.app — we’ll take it down promptly.

  4. FoundersBrain is not affiliated with LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, or any other external platform, and your use of these services remains governed by their respective Terms.

8. Prohibited Use

We want FoundersBrain to remain a safe, ethical, and productive tool for founders and teams.
You agree not to use FoundersBrain for any unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate purpose, including but not limited to the following:

1. Illegal or Abusive Content

  • Child exploitation or sexualization: Absolutely prohibited. We have zero tolerance for any material, communication, or activity that involves child abuse or sexual exploitation in any form.

  • Violence or threats: Do not use FoundersBrain to promote, plan, or threaten acts of violence, terrorism, or harm toward others.

  • Hate speech or discrimination: You may not post, import, or share content that promotes hatred or discrimination against any group or individual based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or other protected characteristics.

2. Privacy Violations and Harassment

  • Doxing: Do not upload, store, or share private or identifying information about others without their explicit consent.

  • Harassment: You may not use FoundersBrain to harass, stalk, or bully individuals or groups.

3. Intellectual Property and Copyright

  • Infringement: You may not import or distribute material that violates the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others.
    Only import or save content that is publicly available and does not infringe on the rights of its original creator.

  • Misrepresentation: Do not claim ownership or authorship of content that isn’t yours.

4. Security and Technical Misuse

  • Malware or spyware: Do not use FoundersBrain to create, store, or distribute malicious software, viruses, spyware, or code intended to damage, disrupt, or monitor others’ systems.

  • Phishing or fraud: Do not impersonate others, falsify your identity, or attempt to deceive, defraud, or gain unauthorized access to any data or account.

  • Scraping or reverse engineering: You may not scrape, mine, or extract data from FoundersBrain or its users, nor attempt to reverse engineer or bypass any technical protections.

5. Misuse of AI and Content Processing

  • Do not use FoundersBrain or its AI capabilities to generate, distribute, or store:

    • Deepfakes, misinformation, or deceptive AI-generated content;

    • Outputs that promote violence, harassment, or discrimination;

    • Attempts to manipulate AI systems or exploit them for malicious or competitive purposes.

6. Platform Integrity

  • Unauthorized commercial use: You may not resell, rent, or exploit FoundersBrain’s platform or outputs for external commercial gain without our consent.

  • Spamming or automation: Do not use bots or automated systems to interact with the platform.

  • System interference: Do not attempt to overload, disable, or disrupt the Service or its servers.

If you engage in any of the above activities, we may suspend or terminate your account immediately.
 We also reserve the right to report unlawful behavior to relevant authorities when required.

9. AI Processing and Data Handling

  1. FoundersBrain uses artificial intelligence (“AI”) to analyze, tag, and summarize imported content.

  2. Certain data (such as content text, metadata, and business profile information) may be securely transmitted to third-party AI service providers (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral AI, Bright Data) solely for processing and returning results.

  3. AI outputs are generated automatically and may not always be accurate or complete. They are provided “as is” for informational purposes and should not be treated as professional or factual advice.

  4. Personal notes you enter will not be shared with AI services for model training.

10. Analytics and Performance Data

We use Firebase Analytics, Supabase metrics and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand usage patterns and improve our product.
Data tracked includes:

  • App interactions (e.g., content saved, tabs opened, onboarding completion)

  • User properties (e.g., signup method, team size, industry, focus area)
    This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible.

11. Termination and Account Deletion

  1. You can delete your account anytime by contacting team@foundersbrain.app.

  2. Upon deletion, your personal data and content will be removed from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 60 days.

  3. FoundersBrain may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms or engage in misuse of the Service.

12. Service Availability

FoundersBrain is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of AI-generated outputs.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service without prior notice.

13. Intellectual Property

  • The FoundersBrain name, logo, software, design, and AI systems are owned by the FoundersBrain team.

  • You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without written permission.

  • Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by FoundersBrain to improve the Service, without obligation or compensation.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FoundersBrain shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages;

  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities;

  • Errors or inaccuracies arising from AI-generated content;

  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.

Your use of FoundersBrain is at your own risk.
You acknowledge that AI-based summaries and recommendations may contain inaccuracies or omissions.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If any provision is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in effect.
